Everyone in the office knows our Studio Manager and Designer Angela loves colours and stripes. She tells us about a new artist that's inspired her this week:
Recently I came across this striking image of a colourful thumbprint. After closer inspection, I discovered it is a literary thumbprint by American artist Cheryl Sorg.
Sorg has come up with this interesting idea of taking the books that have defined your life (about 50 titles), to create your very own personal thumbprint portrait.
Your thumbprint is sent to the artist, who carefully cuts the book titles sourced to fit the loops and whorls. The final piece is approximately 24" x 36”.
You can find out more about Cheryl Sorg on her website.
