Paul Mackman, Bruce Burgoyne and Hannah Marshallsay from Mackman all had a fantastic time at the Colchester Business Awards, held at Charter Hall, this month.
Hannah and Sara had a big job to do in advance of the awards evening as Mackman sponsored and judged the Businessman of the Year category. Having interviewed six impressive candidates, Mackman's client leads announced that Kevin Bull, co-founder of Blueflame Services, was the winner at the end of the ceremony. Over the last 25 years Kevin has successfully researched, planned and controlled the impressive growth of his Colchester-based company, which now employs over 40 local people and has a second office in Chelmsford. Last year saw the gas, oil and heating engineering business turnover £5m and increase profits to 15% while also developing renewable energy solutions.
Paul Mackman said, 'Kevin has a clear vision for his business. He knows where he's taking it and how they're going to get to where they need to be. When you combine this level of business acumen with an altruistic approach to supporting the community, you're looking at a someone worth celebrating.'
