We are pleased to announce the launch of a website, online service and MOT booking system for Gainsford Hall Workshop.

CLIENT

Gainsford Hall Workshop is a well-respected, family-run garage in Toppesfield, near Halstead. Managing Director, Chris Barnard, is Rolls Royce trained and has run the workshop since he established it in 2005. The facility offers a range of services, such as MOT testing and vehicle servicing, and provides outstanding customer service.

Chris approached Mackman after realising that an online presence would further enhance the level of customer service Gainsford End Workshop provides.  Having seen Mackman’s work and liked what we’ve done, we were a straightforward choice for Chris.

OUR ROLE

Mackman has built the Gainsford End Workshop website from scratch and worked with Chris to develop all the content, copy and images.  Mackman is a leading specialist in the use of the WordPress content management system that has been used for this site. This provides a robust and flexible platform upon which to design sites that are engaging and intuitive for visitors. It also enables content management updates to be simply actioned by site owners, such as the Gainsford Hall team. Mackman trained them on how best to use the system to continually update their website to support the growth of the company.

As well as providing all the general information about the workshop’s expertise and services, the website also features a booking system. This enables customers to select the most convenient time slot for their MOT Test.  This process is all completed online and in real time thereby significantly streamlining the procedure for all.

Workshop Customer Service Manager, Darren Hockley, is one of the primary users of the website at Gainsford Hall, both updating information for customers and accepting the and arranging the bookings made.  After a few weeks of using the system, he comments: “As a company we are very new to online communications. The Mackman team have been very helpful and have provided us with a user friendly, clean and sharp website.”

He continues: “One of my concerns was that the site would require significant time out of our busy days to update and maintain. However, the Mackman group has delivered a site that can be updated and maintained in a few key strokes!
