Sudbury charity, The Bridge Project is holding a 'Great Big Courtyard Bake-Off'.
With an entry donation of £2.50, all members of the public are invited to help judge the winners whilst enjoying a delicious, typically British afternoon tea.The contestants will include the charity's best amateur student bakers who will show off their creative and technical skills, producing an array of sponge cakes, shortbreads, pastries and more.
Anesta Newson, CEO of The Bridge Project said, “It's going to be a lovely summer event. Set in the open courtyard of the charity, where the garden is blooming and people can have a relaxing cup of tea and cake. Another chance to show what our wonderfully hard working students can do.”
Sponsored by Waitrose, all proceeds collected will go directly to The Bridge Project, supporting the fantastic work they do for the community. Established in 1995, the charity assists disadvantaged adults in the local area, providing them with vocational training, education and employment opportunities.
