Sudbury based marketing and research agency, the Mackman Group, has sponsored the Bury St Edmunds Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society (BSEAODS) by designing their Calendar Girls calendar free of charge. Mackman and BSEAODS hope that the calendar will raise crucial funds for St Nicholas Hospice Care to help support patients facing life-shortening illnesses and their families.

Jordan Hughes, St Nicholas Hospice Care Community Fundraiser, said: “We are thrilled that the brave women of Bury St Edmunds Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society thought of the Hospice when producing their revealing calendar. Thank you to all of them, and to the Mackman Group for its superb design work”.

Calendar Girls is being performed this month, but the ladies have not only bared all in the theatre. The calendar design includes photos taken in Bury’s most famous landmarks. From Angel Hill, to Bury market and Abbey Gardens. The calendar is priced at £7.99 and will go on sale at the tourist information office and Waitrose in Bury.

Debbie Croll, Chairman for BSEAODS said, “It was a delight to work with the Mackman Team. They came up with fantastic ideas, visual images and designs, which fitted our vision perfectly. They’ve been a pleasure to work with and the final calendar is a work of art!”

Angela Balaam, Graphic Designer at Mackman said, “We believe in supporting our community here at Mackman and are proud to be able to do pro bono work in the area. We also designed Sudbury Dramatic Society’s Calendar girls calendar last year too. It’s been great to be able to contribute to the wonderful services of St Nicholas Hospice Care”.

Orders of the calendar can be taken from the Bury St Edmunds Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society website: www.burystedmundsoperatic.co.uk
