Christmas Donations
In lieu of Christmas cards this year, we have decided to give back to our local community following concerns raised by The Trussell Trust about the growing demand for foodbanks. This winter will see more households than ever before needing the services of a foodbank.
We therefore visited a local supermarket and stocked up on a wide selection of long-life goods and produce to be donated to a local foodbank. We have decided to donate the items to Colchester Foodbank to aid in the good work that they do.
Earlier this year the Trussell Trust predicted that an average of 7,000 food parcels will be handed out each day over the next 6 months across the UK. In response to this current economic climate, The Mackman Group along with several Colchester-based businesses, came together and collectively donated £4,000 to the Colchester Foodbank, which will provide 50 families with a food parcel costing £80.
Additionally, our staff at Mackman Group participated in the Reverse Advent Calendar initiative to give back to our local community. The idea was introduced by The Trussell Trust in the recent years as the UK reached economic hardship. We recently donated our items in time for Christmas.
Christmas Office Closure
Please note, Mackman offices will be closed from 5pm on Friday 23rd December 2022, and will reopen at 9am on Tuesday 3rd January 2023.
