The Mackman Group has this month launched a brand new website for a local author and illustrator with an international following. Peter Gray has been working as an illustrator for the past 14 years and has also written over a dozen books about drawing and illustration which have sold tens of thousands internationally. Like many other established professionals in creative industries, Peter found that the lack of his own website was proving more and more of a setback in a fast-paced industry where contact books are sometimes guarded closely.
Peter says:
‘At our initial meeting Bruce and I batted ideas around to develop the concept and the functionality. I was impressed at how open he was to my atypical ideas and the rough and ready look I wanted to convey. At the same time he was keen to make sure that the site would cover all the important areas of my work as well as being flexible enough to add and develop things later. Many friends and colleagues have commented on how easy the site is to navigate around and how smoothly it all runs. And even as a part-time Luddite, I am quite able to upload and manage material on my own. It’s actually quite addictive; I have to hold myself back from constantly tinkering!’
