The Stanway School

Branding & Marketing Re-alignment

The Stanway School is a leading mixed secondary school in Stanway, Essex that was founded in 1958, and currently teaches young people aged between 11 and 16 years old. Stanway recently underwent a £6.9 million expansion project to build a ‘Creative Arts Block’ and a new ‘Science/Technology Wing’ and is a specialist Humanities and Maths & Computing College. Incidentally, Mackman’s Technical & Operations Director James Royce, and co-founder and Research Director Gemma Mackman are both former students!

Stanway approached Mackman following a successful brand identity and delivery project with the Sigma Trust, to support the refinement and output of their brand identity. Key stakeholders were looking for a partner that could offer consistency across the school’s marketing material, and deliver an image that could differentiate them from other schools in the area.

Worksafe

Branding & Marketing Alignment

Worksafe are a training and consultancy firm based in Bury St Edmunds, that work with a range of healthcare providers, businesses and sectors across England and Wales. Their specialist trainers provide moving and handling training, first aid training and basic life support (BLS) training, as well as consultancy and advisory services.

The team at Worksafe had recognised the need for a more strategic approach to marketing, to take the organisation to the next stage of growth. Their existing marketing activities were quite reactive and lead by sales, and their brand identity and tools were inherited from a much earlier interpretation of the brand. Worksafe wanted to take back control of the brand and a poorly maintained website. The team approached Mackman to support their organisational growth through strategic branding and marketing.
