Essex Autumn Marketing Conference
This marketing conference is on 23rd October 2013 at Anglia Ruskin University Chelmsford. Aimed at marketers working for charities, the public sector and third sector although this conference has something for marketers from all sectors. It will focus on what ‘good’ marketing looks like, for both not-for-profit organisations and commercial businesses. The big subjects such as behaviour change, corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability and effective marketing communications are covered.
Subjects include: ‘What is social marketing?’, ‘Marketing for charities and public services’, the ‘Nine billion challenge – the ‘ask of consumers’, and a truly inspirational case study from charity Afrikids: ‘bringing big smiles to little faces’.
To complement a number of keynote presentations, the afternoon will be devoted to a series of more hands-on workshops, exploring in further detail some of the issues raised by the morning sessions. There is also an interactive ‘question time’ session with our panel of expert speakers.
Speakers include: Peter Roach, Socialtec; Professor Ian Bruce CBE, Cass Business School; Michelle Gallant, BITC; Patrick Ladbury, NSMC; Georgie Fienberg, Afrikids.
The venue, ARU Chelmsford, is a short, ten minute walk from the railway station and because registration does not open until 10:00, this means that delegates from London can travel off-peak. Chelmsford is only 35 minutes from Liverpool Street station.
The conference is a three-way collaboration between CIM’s East of England region, Social Marketing Group and the newly formed Charity Marketing Group.
