The Pheasant at Gestingthorpe is seeking to secure its already enviable reputation with a website upgrade and PR boost from Mackman. The pub has ambitious plans for growth, including the creation of a boutique hotel on the premises for which the owners have secured a £200,000 business development grant. Less obvious to passing locals will be the development of the pub's current website, which will all take place 'behind the scenes.' As the web grows older (and technical advances accelerate) many companies find that whilst their websites might look OK, they are not functioning efficiently or they are 'clunky' and difficult to manage. Mackman is currently migrating the Pheasant's website from its old platform to WordPress, making the site streamlined, more responsive and very much more flexible and easier to manage and update. Coupled with the web upgrades (which includes SEO work), the PR team at Mackman will be building upon the pub's reputation - widening the pub's sphere of influence and regularly reminding locals of the award-winning pub on their doorstep.
