The local May bank holiday event is shaping up to be an impressive day out. With only 3000 tickets available, the celebratory festival is set to be a fun, relaxing way to mark the long weekend with friends, family and the local community.

Richard Hibbert, event organiser, and his team have been working hard for six months, bringing the festival together. Sudbury Town Council have backed the event from the very beginning, and a number of local businesses have donated their time, services and cash to the festival as well. The team are delighted with the response to the event so far and are looking forward to getting the whole community counting down the days!

“We know that this is going to be a great thing for Sudbury.” says Richard. “Sudbury Community Festival will be a quality, low cost event designed by local people, for local people. It’s given us an opportunity to celebrate everything we love about our town, but also raise money for local charities. We have a jam-packed schedule, with lots to see, do and enjoy.”

The team organising the big day are keen to involve more organisations from the business community in the festival. “There are a number of sponsorship packages still available for the Sudbury Community Festival. These range from £500 to £6000 and are each designed to give your business as much exposure as possible,” explains Richard. Sponsors of the festival will not only receive promotion alongside the event, but will also get backstage passes and the chance to play in the celebrity football match!

Sudbury Town Council, Kitchen Showroom Ltd, GCS Alarms and Mackman Group have been the first to sponsor this event, but there are still packages available to get involved. Hannah Marshallsay, client lead, at Mackman said “Supporting meaningful initiatives that benefit our community is important to us as a business. We believe in giving back to the town that does so much for us, and our clients, which is why we are more than happy to donate all the marketing material to Richard and his team, free of charge.”

With so much to look forward to, Richard is confident the event will be a day to remember. “The great thing about the Sudbury Community Festival is that there’s something for everyone. Sudbury’s a friendly and inclusive place, and we think the Festival is going to reflect that.”
