Hi, I'm Dylan and I'm a Graduate Creative at Mackman. In my role, I support our creative team with the delivery of new ideas for brand designs and work on existing projects, enhancing the ongoing output to predefined styles and guidelines. I also contribute to Mackman Group's social media channels by creating relevant content within the brand framework.
My daily tasks include maintaining a dialogue with the project managers and account handlers on project timings and progress. I also work with our internal account management software to ensure project budgets, timescales and correspondence are managed accordingly.
Prior to my role at Mackman, I studied Graphic Communication at the University of Suffolk. During my studies, I completed a series of work placements with an Ipswich-based design agency, furthering my knowledge of the creative industry and highlighting my areas of specialism within the broader field of design.
What IS YOUR FAVOURITE PART ABOUT WORKING FOR MACKMAN?
My favourite part about working for Mackman is that no two days are the same, particularly when it comes to project work. Each morning I have a new and varied set of design tasks, keeping my work day exciting and engaging while pushing me out of my comfort zone as a creative practitioner. My role enables me to explore new design possibilities, all while advancing my industry knowledge through day-to-day tasks and client engagement.
What activities do you enjoy in your free time?
I have a keen interest in music so you'll usually see me listening to music in some capacity. I also enjoy riding my motorcycle to unwind and get some throttle therapy in my downtime. When I'm not on the road, I like to spend time reading up on natural history.
